if thats was how it is supposed to work, then why does capping steams download speed cause it to not drop/stop, but use full speed the entire time?
not to mention something said for years, that steam is the only place to have this issue lol.
nvm, dont answer, i know what you will claim
you will notice, they seem to like ignoring everything anyone says.... doesnt matter if its across several different pc's, different isp's, ect... they still claim its you and not steam, they cant fathom a world where steam has issues... its simply deny and deflect.
I don't know - maybe your system can keep up doing both at the same time? All I can tell you is that is how it is supposed to work because Valve said it.
Funnily enough, the vast majority of Steam's users don't use the forums. For all you know they ARE complaining to support.
Computer shop? Alas, this isn't the 1990s. We haven't had computer shops since then. For that matter, we famously don't have any dedicated stores for consoles, PCs, or gaming in general in my area. The last one closed in 2019.
Well, we have this place called PC Depot, but it hasn't sold computers since 2017. It only sells and services smart devices now. But if we DID have a PC shop, they'd be saying the same thing: it's a problem with Steam.
valve also said steam would stop working on jan 1st... yet it didnt... and you been told devs stating things that cant be done, or wont work... is a failed excuse cause time and time again, they are proven wrong, even game devs claim stuff cant be done and some random steam user makes a mod doing just that.
just stop lol.
thats true, majority of the users dont even touch the forums, either they dont care, dont know about them, or simply ignore them after seeing the state of the forums.
one always tends to wonder, why people ask that nonsense, like "if its such a problem, how come everyone isnt complaining"....
that being said... it must be my system... or several systems across the years... and several isp's across the years... cause its always the users fault, despite evidence showing it isnt.
Please demomstrate where they said this?
Because the last I heard was that Valve clarified weeks ago that wasn't the case, just that problems will start hjappneing more after this time.
And also so what? JUst if they did say this and were wrong how does that mean everything they say must be somehow wrong?
THat's not how logic works.
The fact remains that this is how it works as claimed unless you can demonstrate otherwise with empirical evidence.
sorry i dont play the "proof or it doesnt exist" game, dont bother trying.
"devs say something then its 100% true" is blatant nonsense lol, just like the old support notification people claimed was true and "steam wont run on win 7 on said date" nonsense that people claimed was true cause" devs said so".... then tunes changed after the notification was changed... all despite being told all other support notification claimed the same and didnt stop the client from running on said OS.
you have no clue how the downloads work and people (including me) have already provided plenty of "proof" to back their claims and refute yours, ignoring that in favor of thinking you are correct, doesnt work as well as you would like.
your claims are dismissed as bullocks, theres some "reality" for ya.
Oh you mean relaity?
That's fine - your claim is dismissed as bollocks then as you've failed your burden of proof.
THat's how it works. You claim stuff without evidence, it must be dismissed without evidence.
over here we have severel dedicated pc stores and electrical stores with pc
sales that i could easily run into with a few questions along with pc/console
games stores... or even at the supermarket where they sell steam wallets...
i could even walk into a hardware store a pick out a few randoms that would
be steam users...
also i know the forums are under utilised but we do have small waves
of people that find their way on here.... usually to question various problems
experienced on steam from week to week.... nonsense is subjective...
why on earth would i ask questions to some "tech" who likely knows as much or less than what i currently know, i have met tons of them that dont know half of what they preach, seen them make huge mistakes and even told them stuff they didnt even know...
computer shops, ect.. are for people who have little to no knowledge about pc's in general.
so yes, its nonsense, to claim that because you dont see wide spread complaints on the steam forums, then that means something isnt an issue.
fyi, there is internet outside of steam, where you can find loads of complaints about this and other issues, that you may or may not see on steams underutilized forums.
seems that way and blatantly ignores any proof given, while still demanding proof lol.
your skill means nothing if no one can be bothered with you....
i didnt say you HAD to see lots of complaints on the forums..
but just noticing the patterns of users here does say that complaints
do come in... and can be similar experiences from time to time...
download problems can be a sparse but constant issue
from my experience here on the forums... and there is even
a detailed thread were people have gotten answers ideas and solutions...
unlike what is going on here with all the attacks and insults... data corruption
your opinion on my skill doesnt matter, i know what im doing and talking about and i dont need some self proclaimed "techs" from a crappy computer shop to give me advice, or misinformation from random steam forum users.
thanks, bye.
