btw I didn't buy anything. I don't own any purchased games or software on epic.

Anyway, no service is safe from getting those. Crap happens.
Downtimes due to people DDoSing the service during summer and winter sale were so ubiquitous that 'don't try buying something during the first hours of a flash/daily deal' became common advice to novice users.
I found a reason to re-use my earlier post, save for the "OP" at the beginning.
Steam is not your buddy. It's a store. Just like all the others out there.
don't assume my point was that steam is my ally. i've had enough experience to know steam is not and will not be my ally. I just like to read EGS is not doing as well.
the service still lags in the first 30 minutes of a big deal and usually goes back to normal after about 2 hours. i know Steam might occasionally get hit by one of these things, i just like to read EGS is getting hit harder.

I honestly don't know what happened because every customer support has significantly been degraded over the years.
recently I contacted amazon support and they instead connected me to amazon games lol. I don't own a single amazon game...
