Well, you aren't using the Steam Deck SteamOS recovery image that link now provides while Valve waits to fully release SteamOS 3.
Officially supporting the PS3 won't happen though.
As Satoru points out, the PS3 has several layers of memory access - the hypervisor being the TOP one. I think there's around 5 access levels across the board?
The problem is of course unless you can get access to the highest level you ain't getting anywhere. And Sony are not giving that up.
Also there are the hardware limitations that others have said here, so I doubt it'd be that effective - you simply wouldn't have enough system RAM to operate it.
So it's a no on two massive counts.
Also as Satoru rightly points out, when you only have access to lower levels of system access you ain't got access to the CPU or core control. So you are really hobbled in any case.
