Steam Winter sale Hidden Gems
Back in the old forums we used to have one of these of every sale. One thread for people to post the hidden deals amongst the tsunami of discounts. I've always missed it over here, so I thought of recreating it.

Also posting some tools to help people navigating through the mess of discounts. IE. Over here you can find Games at 75% or more discount, +500 reviews and a rating over 60%
https://steamdb.info/sales/?min_reviews=500&min_rating=60&min_discount=75

Steam usually hides the 'Specials' list during big sales. You can always find it here
https://store.steampowered.com/search/?specials=1

So, what are your rare finds on the sea of discounts?

FIA 9 is also on sale, although a little more expensive.

I already have it (have had it since launch, I think?), and it really isn't "hidden", but the price on Slime Rancher is really good right now, and the game is a really silly bunch of fun.

I'll toss a couple into the circle:

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition at 90% (all time low) is a definite gem. If you can put up with EA 's own launcher then it is a trilogy worth experiencing.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon for 80% is also very huge. This is especially since Like a Dragon is a "first of its kind", kind of Yakuza game, so if you are interested in getting started with the Yakuza franchise then you might want to start with Like a Dragon 7 (or Yakuza 0 @ no sale atm) and end up wanting more. For me, SEGA has always delivered with Yakuza games.

Also, Prey (2017) is insanely good of a game at 90%. The Game has some of the best map traversal, character skills and secrets ever seen since Deus Ex. Criminally underperformed when it came out, so it deserves a lot of recognition even now.

If you don't mind older games, these two favorites of mine are dirt cheap.

And I hadn't played many RPGs that were based in Chinese mythology before, so I tried this game a while back and really enjoyed it, even if the translation is pretty.... bad, at times.

Nice bundle for puzzle game lovers, that I just picked up. I can't give any info on how good the games actually are, but they all have good review scores, and the price isn't too bad. A few of my friends have played Doors: Paradox and have given it rave reviews, so I am going to trust them (we all have similar preferences when it comes to puzzle games), and these are pretty much all smaller games many people may not know about:

Lords of the Realm II is only 59 cents right now! FIFTY-NINE CENTS!!! It's almost FREE!! If you love RTS game, this is one of the classics!
I've found this to scratch a Vanillaware itch without owning a console

It's a roguelite though, tough as nails. I'll stop there, this whole year has been nothing but roguelites for me.

You know, I thought about Prey before, but never was too sure if I'd enjoy it or not. But for this piddlingly little price- I think I'll give it a go. Thanks for this one!
