You can't buy codes, but Steam allows you to directly send Steam Wallet Funds to a specific account.

Keep in mind you have to use an external payment method. Using you Steam Wallet Funds to purchase Wallet funds isn't supported.

I would suggest a physical store. Some have physical card, others will print out a code for you.

For digital card, Steam is the only source.

If someone is demanding Steam Wallet Cards as a payment for something, then it is likely a scam.

If you are willing to send them Steam Wallet Funds, then they should be people you are willing to add to your friends list on Steam. It would be required to send Steam Wallet Funds as it is. I think it is also required that they have been on your friends list for three days.

Okay, well I'm sorry if i overreacted or misjudged the situation.

I can see why it wouldn't be clear why anyone would even think it if you're not a regular here, but those of us that spent too much time on these forums see literally tens of people a day being scammed, and the "I need to take a screenshot and send" formulation very much sounded like the type of scam that I linked the Steam support article about.
