They either have you blocked or your friends activity settings was changed by yourself to prevent you from seeing what they've been buying.

I didnt change anything in settings and there is no way that everyone i have on steam has blocked me

Steam says I don't own the games I have recently purchased from the Christmas sale. It's a bug.

same issue from me also, it triggers and disappoints me that i bought some games and turns out i cant even see them in my activity nor do i see my friend's purchases too, i guess it's a bug but i want them to immediately fix it

This started before the winter sale. A friend of mine told me 4 days ago her last purchase wasn't showing up. I figured it was a glitch on her end. But now it's happened to me too.
