Why are Win10 & Win11 users bashing Win7 users when you are the ones who should be bashed

Now i am someone who grew up with

dos (Gary Kildall op stolen by Gates, at least you could run doom)

win95 (age of empires anyone?)

win98 (remembering the biggest games i could run were Nox and Sims1 with pentium 1)

xp (remember the boom of program viruses ,but when the user wasnt a moron u were fine)

vista (biggest garbage i ever laid hands on and i rather use 98 or 95 at this point for a laptop)

win7 (the beginning was quite the hassle before some updates made it an solid operating system

win10 (currently using and have had my share of issues with it, and i always regard it rather as a service than a operating system but at least could run the latest games)



So ive been seeing alot these Win7 support ending threads while users with newer operating systems (if u can really even call them that) are bashing older users. I especially find it funny coming from Win11 users who we can safely laber as Microsoft slaves at this point. Win10 users aswell to some degree.

Why should Win7 users abandon their control over Microsoft?
Why should anyone abandon their rights to Microsoft? Including areas of security.
Win10 already does this, i as the owner of a so called operating system have no control over my security and i cant really decline by saying no to whatever update microsoft pushes. (funny kinda what steam does, oh wait ex Microsoft employes)

I for example wouldnt want to get Win11 and all you clowns praising Win11 i wouldnt want to deal with trash like this

What i want is a operating system that i have full control of and not an service that steam already is.
Rather then waste your own time finding things in Win11 (that were once simple on older versions) id rather waste my time learning Linux at this point.

A better question is: why did you even bother with Windows 7 while you obviously knew that it would eventually go down the drain, just like 95, 98 and XP?

Why should Microsoft cater to you?

How many times are you going to punish yourself before you finally realize the obvious? That the real cause of the issues is you: for buying / using operating systems made by a company which puts an EOL stamp on them right from the getgo. Even Windows 10 has that.

How about taking a stand. What happens when Win10 loses support? Are you willingly going for Win11? What happens when Microsoft just one day decides to say hey since noone cares and we have an monopoly lets just sell it for 1k and make additional fees like 50 bucks a month for our service.

How about taking a stand. What happens when Win10 loses support? Are you willingly going for Win11? What happens when Microsoft just one day decides to say hey since noone cares and we have an monopoly lets just sell it for 1k and make additional fees like 50 bucks a month for our service.

i don't care i'm on linux and have been for 4 years, i went from windows 7 when general support ended 4 years back. i accepted it was dead and no amount of last standing is going to change the fact it's dead and your time on it.

It is (or at least should be) common knowledge that Computer OS's become obsolete and are abandoned overtime.
The developers of the OS will have newer ones that they will focus on.
It is not cost effective to support a certain OS forever.
Also as Win7 no longer receives security updates, you asking for someone to hack your system.

linux is the future
there are some things that are better in win 7, because they had huge budget, r&d and expertise. but the new windows dont even have that, they are just proprietary hell with no benefit, they just suck
linux is always getting better and its already mostly benefits over any windows

That's not true depending on region and you do own the licences in the EU and can resell them legally. The EULA doesn't overwrite local laws and that's why there is a refund option on steam due to Valve losing the court case in the EU.

There are parts of the world where people have actual human rights.
