Help with steamcmd on Windows 7
Instead of asking too many questions "why", I started to use steamcmd as main steam client for download games. Tried with Postal 2, works perfectly fine, but if I will try to run the game through command "app_run 223470", I will get error "ERROR! AppId 223470 launch failed (Invalid application configuration)".

Any solutions? "app_set_config" command? I just have no idea how to use it for Postal 2, because there's such examples only for HLDM.

UPD. Game was downloaded and validated through steamcmd (not actual Steam). Steamcmd now says what "Success! app 223470 fully installed" but I'm having same error with trying to run.

That means the appinfo.vdf isn't registered properly or corrupted. Make sure Steam is running and online to validate the file after deleting it for that game.

Default location is here.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\appcache

I wasn't able to run anything from the steamcmd. You can only install the game and that's it.
Maybe you're missing an argument. Have you tried using a GUI[github.com]? It might help if you're not familiar with the full command structure of SteamCMD.

I don't think the SteamCMD can be used to run games, only servers (and possibly DRM free games) as it is missing specific DRM elements that the client has.

it's known issue. I have same result on Win 7 and Linux.
downloads, updates, validates. doesn't run

games have to be DRM free and without steam API requirement in order to run them (but then you can just run them from desktop)
