Alternatives to steam?
Question in title, is there anything out there like steam but is not steam? This thing blows now.

Is this because, "Ready or Not by Void Interactive will never be released?"

Epic, Uplay, EA whatever they call their store now, etc. gog.

Im correct that you meant with "is like steam" that it can download & launch games?

Or did you mean the part that it has a community who likes to troll?

Basic google search would give you a list of many. But here are some:

GoG
EA app
U-connect
Itch.io
EGS

You are right, I just want a platform to download and launch games.

When it comes to managing your games (you still need the various clients for things like DRM authentication, cloud saves and what have you) I switched to Playnite[playnite.link] a while back.

Many of those exist. The issue is the games on the platform.

For the many different types and amount of games, there really is no alternative. You will have to visit each store and see if they have what games you are interested in. Even then, there may not be many.

Most of us use several platforms. I use Steam, EA, GOG, Battle.net and Ubisoft.

Go to consoles, and pull the ethernet plug. Only thing yo can do to negate intrusion, and other matters the greedsters want to impose.

Is Microsoft no longer a 'greedster'?

I mean, a platform promoting fraud isn't great. I am sure you love to sign away all your rights on every disclaimer you sign though, some people still need parents
