I can understand that point for console games but we are speaking of PC games that don't even have the most basic DRM in place from the get go.
ScummVM makes it easier to play, not easier to "steal".
Should we also ban discussion of sourceports?
My games came from my original Floppies and or CD's :-)
I'm just looking for a bit of help.................
PLEASE
Have you tried a Bluetooth keyboard? It may make setting things up a bit easier.
Just point ScummVM to your SD card using the mouse and menu - Run>Media>click until you hit the SD card proper - and let it auto scam for the games’ .exe itself.
No keyboard required. That’s how ScummVM usually works.
Note, it’s best to let ScummVM on the Deck use its default directories for saving - I’ve had some odd experiences with it and custom save directories.
Edit: Important side bit, because this screws people over all the time, your games actually have to be supported by ScummVM.
I am running ScummVm ver 2.7.0 on the Steam Deck.
The browser for the add games is missing as is the selection in the misc tab.
I am now able to type in to the games path but ScummVm dose not recognize my link (/run/media/mmcblkk0p1/games).
The SD card is mounted and I can see it with my filer.
