You are aware that GOG already dropped Windows 7 support, right?
While true, most will also point out the stand alone installer and that GOG Galaxy isn't a requirement... despite Galaxy being required for some on-line/LAN features in some games.
Isn't there also an inconsistency with updates on the standalones vs Galaxy installations?
Like everyone else. They don't need to "work together" with Valve.
I don't think they need Valve for that either.
Haven't heard this. There are standalone updaters as well as the standalone installers. I wouldn't be surprised if the standalone updaters lagged behind the Galaxy based updates though.
There were similar statments about Games onl.y working on Windows XP and not 7 back in the day.
There're a fair few complaints on the GOG forums because the standalone installers don't always work, and GOG don't care enough to fix them.
Yeah no kidding just look at gogs trash versions of ultima underworld and wing commander. Gog is lazy and crap
Again since the games I grab on GoG are actually older classics.. yeah, can't say one way or another there.
It got patched, and the disclaimer on the store was removed.
It should be noted that it isn't just Chromium that has dropped Windows 7 support, but also a common UI library known as Qt.
