You are able to upgrade your pc. You just don't want to. Get over it.

Indeed. You can either upgrade to Windows 10, or switch to Linux.

The upgrade to Windows 10 is free, and FSX runs fine on Windows 10.

Linux Mint is just like a little friend of windows. For ex-win 7-8ers its excellent, take my word

Maybe you could find the game to be available elsewhere, like on GOG or something?

Which is part of why I'm now on Linux. No Microsoft overlords to submit to, and I get to keep my stuff. Win-win.

IGNORANCE. Make sure Windows 7 is fully updated and that you're logged in with your Microsoft account, then do an in-place upgrade with the Windows 10 iso. You will see post-upgrade that Windows 10 is already activated. The version is like for like, so Windows 7 home upgrades to Windows 10 home, and Windows 7 Pro and Ultimate upgrades to Windows 10 Pro.

A valid Win7/8 key will activate 10 just fine. Or you can use it unactivated forever.

So yes, you can upgrade to Win10 for free.

Microsoft Flight Simulator X works on both Windows 10 and 11.

I kinda prefer windows but to me its not the operating system upgrade that is my issue. I am fairly confident that I am able to upgrade to Windows 10. What upsets me is I HAVE to upgrade or I lose every game I have ALREADY paid for. Is Valve going to guarantee that all of my hardware is going to work AFTER I upgrade to Windows 10? I doubt it. That's MY risk. It comes out of MY pocket.
