Yeah, it's hilarious how people completely overlook their own form of greed.

I wouldn't call people greedy when they've been purchasing games on Steam for years (and I'm not talking about the op, just users in general). They just want some form of compensation in exchange. A sticker is really useless... some backgrounds or avatars/frames would be a much better option.

Yeah, they're animated, some may be pretty, but I don't see what I'd use them for other than to collect them.

Free stuff, sure, but I wish for anything but stickers for once, during these in-between-Summer-and-Winter sales.

True, but free extras encourage purchasing during the sale, and if they are the same thing every year, it gets old eventually.

Which - again - we are not entitled to. People are acting outraged, like they have a right to extras, whining and moaning like children who didn't get a second dessert. Also, we do get extra things from Steam, including free points, forums and other things that you get for free for choosing to purchase from Steam. Of course, people are greedy and always want more.

I did not say we are entitled to anything. In fact, all I said is that a free background, avatar or frame is much better than a free sticker, and they require pretty much the same level of effort to be made. Enjoy your sticker.
