what does the jester emoji mean?

ppl keep giving them to me on my comments and reviews, i don't get it?? i get lots of them and i don't know what it means:(

People do make threads about them in hopes of farming points. It's kinda died down now because the regulars aren't wasting points on it anymore.

Edit: It's also a great way to farm awards to make bought accounts look more attractive to buyers.

Meant to be used to award someone for being entertaining, but it's always been used to mock users by calling them a clown anonymously.

It means whatever you want it to mean. For most people it's free Steam points and nothing more. For others they assign an emotional value to it.

A jester and a clown are not the same lol and the ones who give jesters (Simply a comedian-entertainer of the old days) are making fun of themselves while giving free steam points hilarious really.
