Dying Light 2 is it worth it in 2023?

Some time ago I bought Dying Light 1 and I liked it a lot, and I'm thinking of buying Dying Light 2, has anyone played it to tell me if it's worth it or not?

That's like asking a console forum if you should buy a console, they will ALWAYS answer yes.

Your best bet @juanca! is to look up youtube reviews etc for it, maybe even watch the first 30mins of the game in a playthrough

You'll get a lot of "yes", but you can also get some actual opinions about it that can help you out. At the end of the day the best thing to do in my opinion is to just read through some negative reviews.

Dying Light 2 isn't bad, but was a very forgettable experience for me. Some quests were glitched and couldn't be finished and I don't remember the story anymore.

And all the Skyscraper stuff was annoying, felt rather like playing a Spiderman game.

Character and Storywise, Dying Light 1 is certainly better.

thanks for the heads up. I know you weren't posting to me, but it makes me feel better about buying Dying Light impulsively when offered a coupon on GOG to get it for $7.49.

I don't like zombie/survival games with mostly melee weapons, so on those grounds it's a "no buy" for me.

Honestly your best bet is to buy the game on sale and try it for yourself and see if you like it reviews for this game are too harsh. I love the game and I would recommend it to anyone who likes hack and slash zombie games.

If you liked DL1 and want that type of experience go ahead.I liked first one and liking this one already.One thing is that i would suggest you to wait for sales.Dont miss the fun i might say

The next update is due n a couple of weeks. From some creators on YT etc, it seems there might be significant improvements to combat and brutality. Its a brilliant game as it is right now. I'm excited for the next update.

I would say get the game on a heavy discount (20$ or less) and dont buy the DLC its not worth the 10$ and the only worthwhile thing you get out of it are the glitched weapons (which may or may not be fixed in the coming update)

DY1 better game and free atm on epic, u can play DY2 after and see how its bad compared to DY1.

It's not the same game but still has quite a bit to do. So yeah, and it might improve this month further with combat changes.

The DLC would be a lot better if so many things weren't timed.
