While the PS5 and Xbox series X were impressive at launch hardware wise, that was only compared to budget PC's not really designed for gaming. And a year later, better and cheaper hardware came out that yet again put consoles back at the bottom performance wise due to the games coming out.
No reason except Xbox wouldn't want it as it would cannibalize their sale of xbox games. Along with the fact that steam games cannot run on an Xbox, and they'd have to be streamed either from your own PC, or someone else's PC which gets quite expensive and requires a strong internet connection.
They're already doing it with Ge Force Now. That cost Xbox as far as me, Hell Let Loose, Mudrunner and some others i would have bought there, but bought here.
Point being, idt Xbox cares. I'm streaming Starfield thru an Xbox One thru their GP trial. Obviously, they don't care if you upgrade either.
No, you've already been told this. Xbox has done nothing to support GE Force now, it just happens to work on the browser they supported. just like you could also use the browser to stream porn doesn't mean xbox is supporting porn...... It can disapear tomorrow and is completely unsupported by Xbox.
There is no collaboration involved to make it possible.
I mean ... you are aware that the vast majority of games comes out on all platforms?
There's both an Origin and Edge Beta. Are you saying Nvidia are using the rights to those programs w/o permission from MS? Edge didn't allow Shadow PC, or others, or Stadia.
And didn't MS just sign terms with them for Game Pass games? Personally i think there's agreements. All the COD games got dropped on GFN, and nobody knew why. Now we know given the acquisition.
That's because the studios decide to go for visual fidelity instead of performance most of the time. A PC on similar hardware will just struggle as much, if not more because of the targeted optimisation. On PC you can usually decide what you prefer, either having every option pumped to eleven or go middle of the road with 120 FPS.
"Hardware limitations" are a non-issue here.
Though, comparable budget PC's oddly do better than a PS5 now, since while consoles have checkerboard, PC has FSR 2.0 and soon 3.0, and DLSS 2.0-3.0, with minimal fidelity loss.
your best bet is to forget consoles and focus on pc games, pc software backed with great pc hardware is your answer.
