so i enlisted for the beta test on cs2 but the download takes 13 hours so i thought i'd do it in sections, a little bit everyday .... i realised just now that i can't play cs go... i want to play cs go, not cs2, i don't even know if i like it ...

yeah, csgo will be replaced by CS2 once the rollout is complete iirc.

Ask in the CSGO forums.

I don't know much about it, but if it is anything like Overwatch, then CS2 is the upgraded "replacement" version of CSGO, so you will be getting only the one game.

Cs2 is basically csgo, it is just an update, they are the same game.

i propose a drastic idea, for years i asked gaming companies to implement a tiered content download system where you can choose what content within the game you need, ie you run it on some old laptop playing 1 single box map, but you download 100gb of hires textures that re basically paper weight, same with player skins, i mean its nice a guy has some nice equipment, but do i really see it playing at some lowres like 720p at a distance? no, since i dont use that content myself i dont see a need for it to download. cs2 as what if it was implemented could be like 5gb download at most, see i only choose to download things i use and need for it to work.

yeah but i can't do that the download started as soon as i left the game and i have to download it all ... the problem isn't the size, when i lived in lisbon my internet connection was with fiber, it took 40 minutes do download 30gb, but here where i live i only got satellite connection, so it takes 13h more or less ... although i understand your point, you should be able to choose whether you want to download skins and stuff that is optional ...

i think the point is developers dont go throught htings consumers go through themselves, do they like need upgrades every 3 years if stuff like sponsosrhips keeps their rigs updates year round, do they download their own games over shetty connections? like tons of things they themselves never see and then be like, well we dont have none of those problems so its your own problem. same with viruses and aimbotters, they probably just play across their own closed neworks and see hey you see there is no cheaters among valve employees so theire is no cheater issue anywhere else.

Nope i don't need to see one, i just have my car being repaired to go through the inspection and i live 14 km from anything, a coffee or a gas station or a "city" and i need to get a distraction, if i'm downloading an update for 13 hours i can't play anything with internet connection ... ooops all my games .... i'm tired of playing guitar or anything ..

You're completely right ... they want to make money, the rest is up to us :=) although they try to make the best out of their work, it's for the purpose of making money like everyone, everywhere & everytime ^^

Hell nah... Csgo was way more better than cs2 if i can choose which game i want to play i will allways choose csgo that game was briliant and they fckin ruined it by one update... Yeah graphics are better but the game dont feel like years ago... Its just sad
