macOS 10.15 Catalina or newer
I could not find a thread for this & Steam sent me a link to post something about it here in the discussions so that's what I'm doing. In my feedback I asked if they could offer a search criteria for searching games only that are playable rather than having to read through each one only to see "this game is not compatible on macOS 10.15 Catalina or newer" or something to that effect (despite using the mac os platform tag). I know most people use Windows so this will be irrelevant to them, however, for us newer mac users such an easy tag feature to add would be of great help when searching games to buy.

Tahs are user-generated? If you think such a tag should exist, get started. You should also post about that on the Steam-on-MacOS forum. You're way mir eoikely to find people there who have a better idea what you're talking about, on Windows (which most of us use indeed), the OS Version doesn't really matter.

Am I guessing right this this is about Apple nuking OpenGL or 32 bit Apps?

yup ... & if you are asking me if tags are user-generated I have no idea lol. I presumed Steam decided on those & if they were made by users I'm sure Steam would have said so in their reply as well as directing me to a tutorial on how to make one. Also, if they were user-generated their would probably be way more than there are lol & too many to manage :p

Tons of laziness to be blamed all around even after this...

Steam and macOS 10.15 Catalina

And a thread you may want to read as well...

tl;dr... It was up to the game developers to enable the checkmark. Which makes what you want very unlikely.

I think you misunderstand... there is already a "mac os" search criteria... & Steam automatically detects our OS... so adding an updated mac os tag for newer computers would be fairly simple & not a big ask.

Game devs must first update their stuff for any tag to work properly.

Perhaps "tag" is the wrong choice of words if what you say is true, but I can't imagine every single game having to update for Steam's search criteria to work on them. It's simply a matter of updating the existing OS options to include newer computers. Perhaps even just a 64-bit search option would work too.
