June 21 Update - Server Browser "View Server Info" completely broken

Hello

Since June 21 Steam Client Update
The server browser "View Server Info" is completely broken

Just throws actual error message in the main UI instead of showing server info

Cannot read property of 'GetAccountID' of null

This should be caught in beta to be honest :D

Should have been caught, yes.
But either wasn't. Or was passed in the rush.

Odds are Valve's release management with this new desktop UI is so utterly down the tubes, that they cannot even manage uplifting individual fixes from beta to stable as hot fixes. And so they'd instead have to resort to just ham-fisting the entire beta build onto stable ASAP to try and get their (not even 100% working) fixes for major issues such as the broken back button out there to everyone. Before their major update that they so foolishly pompously announced as the best thing since sliced bread, loses the last shred of credibility it has left in its bones.

Same here. And also server font is to big. maybe i can change font size?, but on everything elese font size is right for me.

Still having this problem. I have a self-hosted Ark server and I need to type the password in order to connect to that. And I need that f.ing view server info button because new client does not store the password. Server is not being shown in game too. F this company.

I was able to go back to use the original or old VGUI of Steam, just make a shortcut of Steam and right click on it to properties and in the target, you just need to add -vgui which will bring back the old VGUI of Steam.

Should be fixed in beta, I couldn't replicate the issue myself and I recall that it's been fixed according to patch notes.

Yeah they fixed it in beta.

The game name inside View Server Info still shows server name instead of game name

rubbish update,
for me if i right click a server and select 'view server info' it does nothing (and shows error as per OP), before it would show players but not their ping (which in itself was a rubbish idea to remove as this helps you filter bots)..
wtf you guys doing.
