And so apparently, the game is causing a mess. And most of all, it's causing a mess on MY games, being GFN is totally screwed up as well.
This is just a simple matter of the Steam team again removing menu options and retooling the UI into this new "streamlined" version.. what was wrong with the old one that we were all so familiar with?? It's the one that made this system as great as it is and so familiar.. so WHY try to improve perfection, for want of a better phrase..?? hmm??
Steam Settings > Cloud

Pretty much the same as it has been for some time.
Your issue sounds more like it might involve in-game settings. Some games require you to enable Cloud saves through Steam *and* in the game's own settings. Have you checked the game's own forums to see if anyone else is having the same issue or if anyone has found a workaround or fix for BG3?
Plus- when you posted this thread topic it was not too long after Steam's weekly (every Tuesday) server maintenance, which can cause all sorts of Client issues for some people (but not necessarily all users) during and after the maintenance, and may only require just waiting for the server you are pinging to come back online fully, or may require a simple restart of the client for things to fully update.

WHERE IS THE GAME CLOUD SYNC SWITCH NOW LOCATED??? As they moved or REmoved it from the game menu in the UI...
It used to be so simple.. goto game in list.. right click to open game menu.. goto manage game.. click Sync Cloud Files.. answer simple question (if files were not the same), of which file is the one that you wanted to save.. fini.. Now we don't even seem to HAVE that option???
Some games have explicit cloud saves that need to be manually enabled. Others do it automatically. It dependson the game and you'd need to check the particular game you're referencing how they do that.
It is NOT the cloud saves feature, nor the save game itself, nor the transferring of said save games across the web to and from the cloud... Maybe it was MY fault for trying to explain a bit? ...
IT IS in the menus from the Steam Client UI.. specifically the Library List ones gotten from right clicking the game name in the list.. in that menu is..err..WAS a setting for Cloud Files Management.. You could hit switch to SYNCRONIZE the files saved so that the ones on Cloud and Computer were the same files (for those that used them from different locations one after the other, and a main point FOR cloud saves).. the system would then make the correct file the one that is in the cloud for use..
THIS is no longer where it was, Where is it now? if it is even still IN the client.. THAT is what i want to know.. And request that it be returned if it WAS removed as not having it is plain stupid..
Steam > Settings > Cloud
That is the general cloud save setting for enabling and disabling the cloud.
In library, right click on game, then Properties. Under the general setting "Manage Cloud Settings." Though the button there will simply take you to the same place as above.
That is the closest I could find. I tend to turn off the cloud, so don't recall know what it was like before.
Is it something in my understanding of the english language that is eluding me and i'm talking gibberish when i ask this simple question? How many different ways can i explain this easy simple concept to yous guys AND yet you still give me answers that have NOTHING to do with my question..
Before the change in UI, the Steam Client had a control in the game menus (easiest accessed by right clicking the game name in Library List), that when used .. NOW PAY ATTENTION TO THIS!!... Syncronized the files between the Cloud and your Computer or Laptop.. It would access and compare the two and if different would ask me which file i would like to keep as my current save file.. it would then make sure that file was the same on both Cloud and System ...
I could do this at any time and not just after there was some form of error and system tells me that my cloud save is not correct and to resyncronize them.. WELL Valve? where do i go to do that since all i can do is turn Cloud Save on and off and no longer have the Syncronize Control.. Or at least it is not where it was and i can't find it now, but please prove me wrong and tell me where to find it now.. please please please?

The only controls for Cloud Saves in the right-click menu is this- and it's been this way since the first big UI update, in the Properties menu: https://prnt.sc/0qn1VZlcuNld
The FAQs page: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/68D2-35AB-09A9-7678
And a list of all of your games that have Steam Cloud Saves: https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage
Maybe the reason people don't understand what you are asking about is because what you are asking about has not existed for quite some time.
From the games list, in the right click menu was an option to manage files or some such (i forget the exact name, as it had become almost muscle memory and i rarely needed to read it), and after choosing that, i would get a menu with a Syncronize Cloud Saves switch.. That would then compare the files from cloud and local system and give me the choice of which to keep.. it was NOT just from errors (though that would also bring up a window asking for the choice), I could do this at any time..
This was here till they changed to this new UI.. Now it is no longer here.. so unless it HAS been a lot longer than i had thought since Steam changed format, it's not something that has been gone for years or some such..
