Should chat gpt ai be adddd to rpg games?

Imagine this, you are able to have a intelligent conversation with a npc that doesn’t repeat the same dialogue and responds to your questions. They also know the lore of the world their in and know what you should do or can do in a quest.

This would rpg games so much more immersive, I think it should be added since it’s reminds me of the new chat gpt mod Skyrim just released and her responses are just incredible, she’s so human like.

ChatGPT isn't even cohesive nor anything near "intelligent". Handwritten dialog is far superior to unknown content.

ChatGPT is meant to create content that on first glance will look like it's produced by a human. Keyword here is first glance. The deeper you get inot a conversation or a certain topic, the more it falls apart.

That also would make the game requiring an online connection and dependent on a service that can change at anytime as well as having an instance of that AI available for every game which implements something like this.
