It’s not your platform to make those determinations.
if you feel its inappropriate, report the profile thru its profile and move on. if you wish to report any individual content they uploaded, there is a report option on the content itself. steam does not go looking at profiles for violations, it relies on users submitting reports due to the number of accounts steam has. its impractical to have someone spend their day looking at profiles and content they have unloaded.

There's a reason why these settings exist, so use them.
I agree with the OP.

Then report it? There's a report button right there on everyone's profile. On the right click the 3 dots and down arrow ( ...\/ ) -> report player -> They have an inapproiate profile name -> Submit account for review -> Type in why you think it should be removed -> Submit report.

This will send it to Valve staff for review. If the staff reviews it and finds it violates their global steam rules then they will remove the content from their profile. If it doesn't violate the rules then their profile remains as it is.

If someone is found violating steam's global guidelines / rules then it is our job to report them when we see it. It's everyone's duty to report offensive content if we see it. There's an old saying: "If you see something, say something."

If it's the profile I think it is, I reported it a week or two back, its artwork got closed down for a day. Then he went right back to re-uploading it when the ban expired.

Then keep re-reporting em every time they show up with it again. If they are a repeat offender then Steam will get more severe in their punishments each time.

I have been, it's the weekend. Just gotta be patient. :P The guy in question goes around threads baiting people to look at his profile too.

I already reported it but I have no faith that it will work, the profile was created a long time ago and I have no doubt that he has already received other reports

Care to furthermore tell me who makes the determination?

Then that's all you can do. Also edit your preferences so you don't see NSFW content and just move on with life. It's not worth making a steam thread to discuss it like this. It's a trivial thing.

Yes: Steam's Global Moderator Staff. They will review reports manually by a human and check if it violates the global steam policy.

It isn't trivial in regards to what was happening. Also message boards are meant for messages which make up a discussion. Would you rather message boards with nothing on them? That would seem pointless.

Okay? Someone put porn on their profile? Big deal. Report it and move on. I just don't see anything worth discussing there.
wait until you see the skyrim hub section.

Its a game of how fast can one find NSFW content. Even though if most people added NSFW content to the skyrim hub section (which btw is viewable on the persons profiles...when NOT logged in, tested it on my phone), they'd get their content deleted and they would be banned for 2-3 days.

The problem is steam even the valve mods don't treat each person the same. If I added NSFW content to skyrim, the screenshots would be deleted and I'd get a 2-3 day slap on the wrist community ban

report the screenshots, and they 2% of people just freely can post it, valve let them go and the person keeps uploading the screenshots...for months and months and months and months...I know this cause I recognize many of the same characters people make and the names are the same

Either let NSFW content for EVERYONE, or let it for NO ONE...don't play favoritism

Here's a crazy idea: why not move on with your Steam life and just ignore this profile from now on? Just think about all the games you could be enjoying instead of pursuing personal vendetta's.
