Many organizations do indeed use the older OSes for the simple fact that their equipment needs to operate with it. Hospitals aren't going to go out and buy muklti million pound bits of new equipment just because the OS updated.
They will STILL get that support - that's been stated.
But accessing the internet and the "regular" stuff has nothing to do with it. Those that need to - like secretaries and office admin workers simply use the modern OSes. That's the point.
I'm waiting for someone to say the oft-stated claim by these people who are ignorant:
"I know my rights" (they don't).
I don't know why this is so hard to grasp. You stand ZERO chance of any legal case when you've agreed to terms then want to change them afterwards. Doesn't matter whterh you read them.
Win10 is one of the worst things to come out of Micro$loth in a long time. Win 95, Win 98, XP, and 7, all improved on user experience. Win10 was a massive step back for privacy, consumer rights, interface, security, etc etc. Even their bloatware alone should have been enough for people to drop Win10 into the dust bin. Forced CandyCrush install on a Pro version, really? Sadly MS has a stranglehold on the industry.
None of this is true.
Also, planned obsolescence is BS.
Except again I've that question for evidence several times on here, and little has come forth. It just all seems hyperbole.
All I can tell you is that from personal experience it's quite the opposite.
I repeat that I have a load of audio gear - synths, drum machines, mixers, FX units, and so on - all of various ages, so with various version of USB etc. I also have both physical games, and many hundreds of PC games on Steam.
Back on Windows 7, I had about 15% of games that either didn't work at all or worked badly. A lot of my gear didn't work either - one mixer for example will only work in mono for some reason. Others will simply not register at all despite them being detected.
But under Windows 10 ALL work. And of the 900 games I have on Steam now, I've tried about 500 and all except ONE work.
So no, Windows 10 tends to work better for me by a country mile.
Nope 1 is most certainly true. I've already presetned evidence of this above several times.
Oh no using another OS that isn't windows 7 is scary, and someone coming after me personally out of millions of people lol.
Also, do you really think Valve cares about Windows 7. Your Windows 7 64 bit people only have 0.69% of the market share which is barely anything compared to Windows 10/11 market share. Also, as others stated, CEF (Chrome Embedded Framework) no longer supports Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, so you will need to upgrade to get the latest and greatest version of Steam. I get it change is so hard... not really.
