Removing games via Steam Support now removes them from counting towards AGCR%?

Removing games via Steam Support now removes them from counting towards AGCR%?

Is this a bug or is Valve really doing this? Before removing a game via Steam Support page was basically a fancy way to hide your games. It didn't affect the achievement number you had, nor the Avg Game Completion Rate %. But now it does.

So, is this a bug or are they really sticking with this, as I didn't see or hear about this anywhere until today.

EDIT:

There is a bug that if you had a game, removed it via support but bought it again instead of getting it back via support, the game's achievements won't count towards your showcase stats. If this happens to you, contact support. Go to the "It's not in my library" option and then select "It's still not in my library" so you can send a message to support.

Vavle fixed the double license issue.

This was just a bug it seems. Removed games have their achievements count towards your stats once again.

EDIT 4:
This was not a bug. It seems the bug is if you remove a game via support and it still counts. I dont even know what is real anymore at this point.

EDIT 5:
I legit don't know anymore. I contacted support and they said this is how things are supposed to be (meaning you can't remove achievements if you remove a game via support). Here is the SteamGifts thread[www.steamgifts.com] where I first saw this was even a thing. It's also here that I saw the OP of the post contacting support recently and them saying it's a feature but after I contacted them I was told it's not.

One of the games got updated with new achievements probably. Usually happens to early access games. But unless you keep track of which ones are updated or have a list of all your 100% games somewhere it can be difficult to find which one changed.

well perfect games tab is re-bugged/broken the 3 games are showing in my perfect games tab again. as i said last few weeks they were gone was quite happy! i dont understand why my name is mayo,loot hero,the park are back these were removed 5-6 years ago.

Have they (Vavle) finally decided what to do with this ♥♥♥♥?? Months later... Does it remove it from counting the AGCR or not?? Was it a bug or intentional? Does is now work normally or is it still bugged??

"A recent change intentionally made cancelled games not show in the games list or perfect games list as well as their related data (achievements, perfect game count, etc.).
As it's a new feature, you may experience intermittent issues while we work on perfecting it. Please test the issue periodically."

But as I understand as for now it DOES remove all stats including AGCR, achivevements, perfect game list when you remove the game permanently via Steam Support INCLUDING free games as you said?

I wonder what about games that you can no longer buy on Steam? For example I bought F1 2017 on a 3rd party site just because I unlocked one damn achievement when it was a FREE WEEKEND GAME on Steam in 2017, and decided to get all achievies to fix the AGCR.

If I perm. remove the game now would it remove those achievies and fix my AGCR... I can't risk it because this game is now literary HUNDREDS of dollars on 3rd party sites...

My understanding it's only F2P games that you've removed from your account. An easy check for this would be can you remove the game by right-clicking on it in the library, navigate to manage and get a "remove from account" option? If so, it will be removed from the AGCR.

Note that it will still show up as an game in the achievement showcase drop down, but it won't count for stats.

Games that can be removed via the Steam Support "permanently remove" command will still count, though.

it is quite upsetting not to know how this system actually works. A while ago I beta-tested a soon to be released game, it has achievements which were active on Steam, even for beta - it took my AGCR down, after beta ended developer removed the game from my library, but I really don't know was my AGCR permanently affected by that beta or not.

They really got it all over the place with this one. Confusing all users. Almost five months and still unclear what it really does and is it definitive or still work in progress...
