Is there a reason why certain showcase slots can't have certain showcases in them?
I'm trying to order my stuff for my profile in a different order and it keeps greying out the ones i want. I turned them all off so this should not be happening

https://lobfile.com/file/yX41C.png I'm also not sure why certain showcases ssay "invalid for your account" I was under the impression that as long you have a slot availble any of them could be chosen.

If you haven't published any of the content related to whichever showcases are marked as "invalid for your account"- you can't select or use them.
You have to have the content that is associated with the showcase to use it.

Doesn't matter if you have a slot available for an artwork showcase, for example, if you have not uploaded and published any artwork. And no- I am not clicking on an unknown link to see an image that may or may not have anything to do with showcases. Upload the image to Steam as artwork and don't tag it with a game- you can then post it here and it will show a preview like this:
