I have a digital key but I am getting an error

Hey everyone,

I bought the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition from eneba.com, and got the digital key for it. The key should work in the region i am in (checked if the region is there 5 times like always), but right now when I enter the key, steam gives me an error of invalid key.

Is this because the game isn't released yet or am I screwed?

P.S. have bought multiple games from eneba.com before and they all have worked everytime, so don't know what the issue is now.

So? Taking a risk doesn't mean it's guaranteed to fail. It's just not guaranteed to succeed.

Assuming you copy-pasted it correctly, an "invalid key" is just that.

Note that keys cannot be generated for games that don't exist -- so, even a pre-release key will work before the actual release.

No worries everyone, the eneba customer service replied back and mentioned that i had actually received two product keys, one for the game and the other for pre-game bonus. Downloading the game as i type this!

Just to add..... I often use other sites for key but only "instant gaming" and "kinguin" now I know some people had issues with them.... I did not, I had only one issue with wrong key on kinguin and I contacted support and got full refund.

But there is always some risk of the other siites, and not buying directly off steam.
But yea if you get game and dlc together, you have to always install game first.
Only on steam only games you get all installed in packet at once.

Sounds just like my case. I bought a steam key for Hogwarts Legacy from ENEBA (~45 euros), but now that I tried to activate the key, Steam says it's already been used.

I contacted ENEBA, and now I have to wait for their reply.

I really hope I get my money back or an actually working steam key. But no high hopes tbh.

Hope you got your key rectified, my personal experience with eneba has been good since they replied within the hour and directed me as to how to redeem the code. they had given me two codes (for main game and dlc) together separated by two "--" which confused me but in the end it worked beautifully.

Luckily I got my money back. But I still won't buy from Eneba again.
