Family Share - Playing ESO and Hogwarts Legacy

Hello, Steam Community!


I am confused by Family Sharing... I have never done this before.


1) Will I be able to play Elder Scrolls Online on my account at the same time as my partner that is playing Hogwarts Legacy shared through Family Share on their own account?

2) Is Elder Scrolls Online considered a game run through steam, or no because it has it's own launcher?


If this is confusing, please let me know and I will try to explain it differently!

ESO is an MMO and won't support family share.

If you purchased ESO through Steam, then it needs to be ran through Steam as it is associated with your account, but also requires the game's launcher to run.

If you purchased it out side of Steam it requires an account through ESO and is ran through it's own launcher.

Only one person can use a library at a time, so if you are using your library to play a game, then no one else can borrow a game. If you launch a game when someone is using a borrowed game, they will get a five minute warning and kicked off the game.
