take less info to get a passport or even buy a house than the trouble Steam support put you under to get your own account back.
Such a sad state Steam way Steam is running things.
you get hacked or your account was stolen then steam doesn't care or even help whatsoever
the issue is this ( I know that it can be really challenging to provide the requested first CD key used, however, we'll need it to further investigate.)
a long time ago since 2004 Nov 17 to even have the very first CD Key Used. people's life changes,
make me wonder how many more people's accounts have been lost over this system Steam has in place.
Yes have loads, gave them a Keys that is Linked. still will not have it
i have Humble each month get keys, done it for passed 7 years
gave them paypal ID info game BeamNG brought 19.49, sent them photo from paypal and on account, ID all match
and they still will not have it
Account security is your responsibility.
They make this very clear. Accounts don't just get hacked, they get phished and compromised.
People should be much more careful with their account and its security. And that is even assuming that the account got taken over, for all we know OP is merely someone who bought this account and now wants to use it and then discovered that it got closed.
In the end we're only hearing one side of this story so it's pretty much impossible to form an objective opinion on it. This is between OP and Steam support / Valve.
Considering the post above my assumption is that OP got mad, started with hollow legal threats and IMO they should be glad that support is still talking to them vs. referring all their requests to their legal team from now on. Because that is well within the right of a company, and in some cases this is actually company policy: as soon as legal gets mentioned and/or involved the gloves come off in order to prevent any possible liability.
Also, by the looks of the message OP received, they sent everything and the kitchen sink - a hospital letter?! - except what Support was actually asking for - info-bombing Valve with needless paperwork isn't going to help.
A few weeks ago i had a similar issue my account was blocked in some way after i had a windows update (Win 11 home) and it also effected my PC start login, upon taking to the PC company help service they said turn off my antivirus retry activating accounts again then turn antivirus back on, so i did and my accounts were back on line and since then had no issues.
They PC Help line also said Win.11 has some conflict recognising logins accounts and some antivirus programs and it take a little time for the win.11 to recognise some software and a win.11 reinstall or fix diagnostic usually fixes the issues.
Try accessing your account with antivirus off, see if that works if not if brave reinstall your version of windows or do fix diagnostic, if still having issues then i'm stumped.
Hope this helps and good luck.
That makes no sense because you can just log into the account via browser.
That also isn't what OP's issue is.
why is when i send in a ticket from the top red bar from the account the ticket auto closes after a few mins?
You account may be compromised still and the other person could be closing the tickets as you open them.
