Don't know the time framefor sure, though, but IIRC it was like three months.
They would have to manually go to your SS page.
Though you're not a part of Valve or anything, is something I understand as well, and isn't my intention to come off as thinking.

To keep it on the most down-low, I think I'll just upload spoilers with the tag, then a while later I make it go Hidden and use the direct link to share it with whoever I want to share it with.
Or instead of users going through a hassle, Steam could just remove this ridiculous de-spoilering. It's not unheard of that people watch movies or play games WAAAY after release. So spoilers are always relevant.
And not every hub or profile is this active for UGC dropping off after a certain amount of time.
Imagine you'd just made friends with OP and go through their screenshot gallery ... to be spoiled the very game you are currently playing.
This should be made into a suggestion thread in the S&I forum though.
Spoiler tags are auto removed after months.
But why?
