And no no one is talking about it
Note that changing the region's does work for a few seconds then it goes back to 0
Many people seem to misunderstand how downloads work here.
Games on Steam and compressed and encrypted. Because of this, they will often download a chunk, then appear to stop downloading while it unpacks and sorts the data before writing it to it's final place.
This does NOT mean there's an issue. It's working as intended.
So are you SURE this isn't the case here? And do you have plenty of hard drive space? Valve recommend you use no more than around 90% of the install drive's space and when you download a game you allow up to THREE times the total file size.
like my isp provide 6 mb / sec speed
when i download it reach 1 mb/sec ( when i change regions )
then slowly drop to 0 like
900 kb
800
500
200
100 after that it goes in the bytes
800 B/s
400 then do 1 then it reach 0
i tried everything in this guide nothing helped
note: to be clear im not saying there is an issue on valve end.
im asking if its in my end how do i fix it
then it go back down
sometime changing the region will NOT make it go high up again
but mostly its around 500 byte to 25 kb/sec
Again your download speeds are limited by
1) your cpu
2) yoru disk IO
3) your anti-virus killing disk IO performance
4) your ISP
This is espcially true if you're patching games where by you download speeds are irrelevant and your local disk and cpu speeds to patch the local files is the bottleneck.
2 same for disk
3 i always used same anti virus
4 yeah i believe this might be the issue i will try to contact him otherwise i will have to recheck 1 2 and 3
thanks
everyone in my neighboorhood have this issue therefore its my isp
