Does Steam Deck allow STREAMING VR games to it?

I want to set up my Index in the living room, but my PC is in the game room. I know you can stream your games from your PC to the Steam Deck, but when I go to a game like Half Life: Alyx for example, I don't get the option to stream even when SteamVR is running on my PC. I know there are questions like if the connectivity of the Deck even supports a VR headset, but I guess I'll research that while I wait for a reply here.

Might be a way to shoehorn it into working, but I wouldn't expect a very good experience.

The Quest 2 has "Airplay", which works okay.

The steam deck isn’t powerful enough

Also the decoding latency would immediately make you vomit if you tried

You cant Stream fast enough to the Deck to support enough frames and power to a VR headset.

So.. it may be possible, but most likely it will give you a terrible experience.

I am experimenting with this idea using the xreal airs connected to the deck, the 3d mode on the xreals, moonlight, virtual here, phoenix head tracker, open VR opentrack and opentrack. I connect the glasses into the deck steam os desktop mode and through virtual here so I can use phoenix head tracker (head tracking program for xreal airs that works with steam VR and opentrack) on PC and start phoenix head tracker and opentrack then stream the open VR opentrack sbs headset window to the deck with moonlight and switch the glasses to 3d mode. It worked very well I was able to use the controls on the deck for gamepad vr games and if your not far from your PC you could use a Google daydream controller (cuz it has no drift) connected to your VR PC and use driver4vr. I'm trying to figure out how to get virtual desktop PC version to work with this setup cuz it could give you a portable AR pinned virtual screen to run anything on your pc when setting the environment to none and you wouldn't have to install windows on the deck to use nebula for windows or have to use nebula on the phone cuz it makes your phone too hot and it wouldn't require any adapters but so far I'm having issues of trying to stream the extended desktop headset window to the deck and be able to see my desktop.

I've never really used virtual desktop so I don't know if it's just as simple as using that program. If there's anything technical you had to do could you document it in this thread? What's the latency like? Quality?
