That's really interesting.
It's on the Nintendo Switch too.
Which I think it’s cool. TQ was really a labor of love imo and deserves more spotlight than what it had at the time.
The Reddit threads for the Sony consoles tend to be very well run and mature, so don't be afraid to go there.
I would offer to trade myself but I'm nowhere near the end of the game on PS4.
ARPGs translate really well into a gamepad.
I've always loved Titan Quest, but of all the ARPGs I've found the controls a bit weird. Because it's a bit finnicky in ot's hitboxes whenever you try to clikc on your character you can often find you move them to a position instead. Rendering a lot of the time instead of attacking, you're waggling back and forth in a small area.
On a gamepad this disappears.
ONce they showed the way I never looked back.
I think it's a better example than D3 due to the latter's insistence eof giving you EXACTLY 6 skills. Just like a ton of games insist on giving you exactly 4 skills, no matter how pointless.
VH does that ARPG-gamepad thing in a way more organic manner. Speaking of "organic", I should get TQ on my Switch someday.
Yeah it can be limiting, but I think what Diablo showed me was that for the most part, having any other than 6 skills really doesn't matter because you really don't use them all at the same time very often.
But Van Helsing, while being a bit clunky, does work extremely well with joypad.
