My account got flagged for fraud

So I went to my local gas station and purchased a 50 dollar gift card I dont like to put my actual debit card online so it gets fraud but when I put this giftcard on and put 25 dollars in my account it got locked for fraud. I have sent emails and have read to check with my bank but I cant check with my bank since its a giftcard purchased with cash I sent them a pitcture of the receipt and all does anyone know anything else I can do??

Contact Steam support, best you can do. The warning should have a link for you to use.

Wait a minute! I am confused. If you purchased the gift card with cash, what do you mean by put gift card on? On what? Are you saying Steam is flagging the card has fraud?

How did you put $25 from a $50 gift card on your account?

Steam cards don't partially add money?

What was the $50 card?

So you went to the gas station and bought the Mastercard and added $50, then tried to add $25 more? It sound like you were trying to add a large amount of money at one time. Then you need to call the number on the back of the Mastercard, not your bank.

Well just buy steam cards from now on, ( for steam wallet) plus there are no activation fees or anything else.

The master card probably has some conflict with some information given to steam on signup, like for example your date of birth, name, anything else. Or maybe steam has a problem processing, since steam has been crazy the past few days.

The end result is nothing will have gone into your steam wallet, and it can take up to two weeks for the master chard to be credited back ... you can probably shorten that to instantly if you call the number on the back of the card and explain what happened ... they will then add the steam website to your gift card and you can try again, and then it should work.
