The CalArts style (which you “fear” so greatly) is politically correct?
Fear huh? haha, can you be any more hyperbolic? I could say you fear my opinions regarding the "current thing" art styles, and it would be just as valid.
CalArts, current "corporate aesthetic" and political correctness as part of visual rhetoric, have clearly shown observable patterns, over used and often mixed together. These have been heavily critiqued over the years. I'm just on the side that see's it for what it is. Garbage. Nothing about the image really says "New Zealand" either. Take that as you will, feel free to disagree. I promise, your opinions won't illicit any fear from me. ;-)
You did use what are referred to as scare quotes—a usage I repeated to highlight your own.
So if I’m being hyperbolic .... imagine someone bleating about the “political correctness” of a vaguely-defined art style.
That’s not an answer, especially considering the human tendency toward pareidolia. If it’s all so clear and observable, you’d present something substantial.
Many, many conspiracy-deluded people equally claim to “see things for what they are.”
Anyway, you’re allowed your taste—if you think it’s bad, so be it. Injecting unrelated politics (even such threadbare bollocks as PC) is less allowed. FWiW.
Dribble? Only in the athletic sense, with repeated kicks right to the snowflake's sensitivity spot. If it causes you to start vabbing, I apologize in advance.
This one is definitely vabbing.
Jesting aside, your reaction suggest you are the one who had their "nerves touched". Your actions speak louder than mere words. The rest of your comment is just posturing and projection.
Don't like that someone drew a correlation between political correctness and calarts within the context of visual rhetoric? Too bad. Get over it. Learn to simply say "I disagree" instead of that verbal nonsense up above.
I think it's a bit late for that. Not as if they can put the ink back in the pens as it were ;)
Hmm you might want to look up who specifically "snowflake" refers to in social and political discourse. I guarantee you that any "irony" you see is based on your lack of understanding and irrelevant conjecture. ;-)
By “actions,” do you mean “posting in this thread?”
NB you wholly avoid addressing those words.
You didn’t “draw a correlation.” You merely stated
That is, if someone were to assert “only idiots use the term ‘political correctness’ seriously,” they’d not be drawing a correlation between “idiots” and “taking political correctness seriously.”
Seriously, all this effort you are putting in to try and start an argument, because someone had the audacity to leave a short opinion on the subject of calarts and politically correct imagery. At this point, I'm just laughing at your expense.
