How to post a Screenshot?

Seen this done often enough within the Steam forums. But couldn't see just how in the 'Formatting help' guide linked to the comments box. Cheers

Sure, that's how you take a screens shot. I'm having trouble with the next step of posting that screenshot in a forum thread.

Just post the link to screenshot and it'll be parsed automatically.

Click on your screenshot and copy the URL at the top

then just paste it into the forum

It's easy, once you know how....

• First go to your overview of screenshots, for my demonstration I'll be using my collection.
  
• Click on one of the screenshots, a new window opens and you'll see an URL shown on top; that is the URL you want.
  
• Right click on the title and then use "Copy link address", or however your browser will call this; just make sure to copy the link to your clipboard.
  
• Now just paste the link somewhere and Steam will do the rest.

Here is one of my screenshots, all I did below was paste the link and the rest... is history as they say ;)

If you're wondering about how someone did something in the forums then try to reply to their message. If you reply to mine you'll notice the URL in my post, and because there's nothing surrounding it..... it's obviously me just pasting the URL and that's it.

Maybe also fun to know: this same method also works for games. If you paste the URL of a games product page then Steam will format that as well.

OK looks like I've got it now. My error was Right mouse select 'Copy Page URL', instead of 'Copy Link Address'

Trying to follow these instructions, but my Steam screenshots do not have a URL that I can see. The only option is to browse to the folder where it's located. Any advice would be welcome. I realize this is an ancient thread.

Hey Nimrod. Looks like first you need to click on your screenshot while it's on your Artwork page. Then Its URL can be found on the top left of its border.

Then copy and paste that UR into your forum message.

Oh yeah that woulda been great to know that its in the shift tab menu, spent 10 minutes confused reading this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ thread talking about artwork tab and screenshot tab when it has nothign but a stock photo of preset screenshots. Screenshots page says NOTHING about how to actually post a screenshot
