What's with the discovery queue -?
So once a week or so I go through the "Discovery queue" to see if there are any new games I might like... but revently the discovery queues content has taken a huge nosedive. Almost all the games I see now are "Mostly negative" reviews, broken, abandond. And now the queues started filling up with Anime porn dating games. I have no interest in purchasing porn on steam.

Is there something seriously wrong with the Discovery queue?

Is there a way I can keep the porn out of the queue?

Unknown since I do not use the discovery queue. I rarely use the store page at all. Only twice a year typically.

I have steam setup to open directly to my library. Occasionally I pop over to activity to see what's going on. And when I want to check on a game I heard about or might be thumbing over i use my library to get there. I click on one of my games, then click go to store page, then use the search function to research the game i am interested in. No discovery needed.
There's nothing wrong with the queue, it's just showing you some games that you don't happen to be interested in.

There's a difference between "Games I don't like" and "Porn"

Don't follow these links at work:

None of these would contain actual porn because Steam does not allow pornographic content in games.

Some games have patches that might make them into that, but how you'd get them from Steam would not contain such content.

As much as I hate anime, I love it it when people over exaggerate these visual novels. I'm sorry but, where's the porn?
Just went through a couple queues myself, not a single "porn" game. Mostly just survival and simulation junk. Is something "wrong" with my queue too? :hmm:

Same thing here as I don't see any of these.

Op needs to learn it's based on what his view / purchase history is thus we know what kind of stuff he likes to look at. :steamhappy:

Part of it is Player Tags, New Releases, Sales and general similarity between your other Games.

For example, I'm an RTS/TBS, RPG and Roguelike junkie. So, initially a lot of my Discovery Queue contained games that had relevent Tags or were actually marketed as such. Then, about 6 months ago "Disgaea PC" was in my Queue. Its gameplay looked a lot like Final Fantasy Tactics; a game I love, so I bought it.

Because Disgaea is an "anime" game I started seeing other "anime" games pop into my Queue, mostly other Disgaea games. However an "Agarest War" game made it's way in there, again gameplay seemed similar and it was on sale ... so I bought that too. I hadn't paid enough attention to realize Agarest also featured a "Dating/Child bearing" mechanic; I thought it was different and actually liked the idea I'd play as my Offspring which inherented its Parent's Stats/Skills.

Unfortunately because Agarest has many Tags such as "Dating Sim" and "Nudity" it caused my Queue to get more "Anime" games but now they are more VNs and Dating Sims than they are TBS and RPGs. Simply doing "Not Interested" helps clean up my Queue but everytime there's a new one it usually finds it's way into my Queue. At least I no longer see CoD games or random FPSes.

TLDR:

Just click "Not Interested" in games you aren't interested in, Duh! Also it's kinda scary buying 2 "anime" RPGs/RTSes can cause such a dynamic shift in your Queue lol. It's like 1/4 games in my Queue are some "anime" game. Though some seemed a solid suggestion; like Tales of Zestria.

You should see my queue. Just because I play Huniepop doesn't mean I am into everything such as visual novels. Play one thing and you are doomed forever it seems.

when you click such game to click "not interested" steam says: "oh, we have more like this for you". then you click to click "not interested" again, and steam says: "oh, we have more like this for you"...

i feel like i'm turning into pornography addict. -_-

You can add tags (Anime, Nudity, ..) to queue filter. But only 12 maximum for some strange reason. And you will not see games with this tags in your queue.

On the main page "Explore Your Queue" -> "Customize your queue" button.
Or "Customize" link above "Next in Queue" button.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/495480/ <-- I might buy this just to release a parody on these expensive fap games. Ofcourse it will be like 15 bucks for a weekend of work.

i did this, i have 12 tags in there, and no "nudity" or "visual novel" among them.

apparently, even if you clicky "not interested", visited store pages count as if you were interested.

i'm telling you, it's sadomasochism. :/

This filter works differently. If you add some tag then you will not see games with this tag. It works for me.
