Playtime is cumulative - all playtime counts. It’s two hours from when the game’s .exe was started.
Click on the purchase and choose "I have more question about that purchase", explain your issue.
Not sure how you could even end up with copies in the inventory as this hasn't been a thing for quite some time now and the game doesn't have a bundle option.
Also if you get charged twice the second charge should usually be refunded automatically, unless you can indeed buy the item multiple time (like ingame currency).
Regarding Sofort: yeah, it has a meaning in German. That doesn't make it "sofort". It was taken over by Klarna in 2014, with all the problems they have. But even back then it was just another payment provider who paid the merchant and gets the money back from you. Meaning, they can decide not to pay the merchant until they get the money from your bank.
I recommend using Giropay if you can.
Check if both V Risings have actually been billed.
- If yes, click one of them and select "I have a question about this purchase" and explain you accidentally bought the game twice. You will get your money back.
- If no, the money will be returned automatically.
Find the purchase, choose the option "I have a question about this purchase" and explain politely.
I bought RCT classic yesterday, which one can buy in a store for 5€.
I payed 20€ here because i'm lazy.
But why i have to login to steam to play 'my' game?? It isnt flawless either, today i was playing.and ...poef..everything gone..nothing wrong with my internet, jusy steam that disconnected.
To me this looks like a scam.
When i buy a game, i expect to ow it..
I will buy it in the store , when i get there, and get rid of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ steam!
The store version requires Steam too so that wont help you much.
Also you never owned your games, you own a license to play a copy of the game.
That has been the case since the advent of computer games.
Only difference is only nowadays can software developers enforce that with required online clients to play.
If you dont want to use a online client to play or just install games from files i recommend buying all your games on GOG, all games sold there are without DRM and once you download the installation files you can use them forever to install/play the game with no connection to any servers or accounts needed.
Of course their selection of games is only a fraction of what STEAM offers since most developers do not want to provide DRM free copies of their games to consumers.
Right. Steam has been scamming people unabated for nearly 19 years now and haven't been caught?
oh, i see, you got it all figured out and now come here to feed your ego on people you deem stupid. that's really mature.
you know, it worked fine up until now. it always worked the way i did it. now i'm suddenly an idiot because the rules changed? wow
also thank you to everyone who contributed something to this discussion that is not pointless like mr high and mighty here.
i did open another ticket per your instructions yesterday. let's see what happens
You can get the same function from your perspective by using paypal. With the difference that paypal does not know your bank login details. They just draw the money from your account in a normal draw a day later.
But your purchase is instantly.
that's a good idea, actually. i mean, as i said, it worked fine until now. only issue i ever had with this service is when i used it in the steam store.
anyway i thank everyone, again, (apart from chosenboy, who apparently just came here to assert dominance or something) and can gladly say that my refund is underway. i was very frustrated with the refund system because, since you have to put in text i somehow assumed someone would actually ready it. silly me, right?
it worked out with the "more questions about the purchase" option.
