The closest you're likely to get is something more involved like Total War series, or maybe something like Supreme Commander 2. Maybe even Command and Conquer to some degree.
There's been a few indie efforts over the eayrs, but nothing I would actually much recommend.
The closest thing that comes to mind that within Warhammer series is Total War Warhammer 1, 2, and 3, I heard 2 is basically the best, but not sure if 3 will improve overtime with future updates.

Watch a gameplay of it, it's actually more closer to total war. To explain better the games you link are basically almost like command and conquer, or starcraft. The Warhammer dawn of war 2 is basically reskin of company of heroes, but they F up, and left some game mechanics, and Warhammar dawn of war 3 is crap because they really left out a lot of mechanics that made WHDoW 1 series great.

**Some features i loves about DARK OMEN***
-Burning houses, trees enviroment= gives rare epic loot like arrow proof unit armor.
-recruit armies by simply going left instead of right in decisions.
-Main character has a moral boost button you spam during battle
-The game opens up once you get good w/ wizards.
-Wizards teleport!!! <epic! You teleport to expensive enemy slow moving troops and
set em ablaze & BAMF back out b4 they can react.
Dark Omen is one of the few physical games i saved.
Ooriginal Toejam & Earl Genesis,,,Nobanaga's Ambition SNES,
DarkOmen PS1,, Jedi Knight series....
I own Total Warhammer 1 & 3 but got overwhelmed.. i always planned to return to it.
My excuse before was "im awaiting for 2 to go on sale but then i got 3 via gamepass.
Vermintide reminded me a lil bit of Dark Omen with the hidden loot in the map.
Those hidden Tomes were fun. I dunno, i didn't like Vemrintide2 that much.
I still put over 100 hours in....
Warhammer Dawn of War 2 is a blast & for sure holds up... It actually looks great in higher resolutions.. DOW 1+2 are fun & neither is garbage just different in a good way...
Another old school game i miss was 'Warlords'
actually ' Warlords III: Reign of Heroes '
but good luck finding & getting that to work on anything newer then WIndows XP...
~Lastly,,, My little Brother (who still lives at home at 35)
Got a older Windows XP 2005 era PC with a jacked video card for just that reason..
~It's on my bucket list to add to the Game Cave one day..
Maybe not as good, but close as it can be.
I couldn't find it on steam, but can be find really cheap on GOG.
There's a horde of people interested in it.
I have to say no. I say thee nay!
Although to be fair i have BATTLE MARCH on Xbox360
and 2-3 separate times i tried to learn the controls and failed.
I hope this is a console/controller issue and not just bad settings.
~What made Dark Omen so much fun was the combo of getting trinkets
like Arrow proof on ur lame infantry and rain arrows and the recruiting of this/that rare army.
Im not blind hating on Battle March. After i read this 5 mins ago i stared at my Xbox 360
wall and it took me 3 minutes to even find BattleMarch( i have about 400 Xbox360 games on shelf)
Do you recall the ocntrols being an issue?
Works out of the box on Win10, at least for me.
Everything now is in 3D. I quite liked the Isometric view with the polygonal sprites and the interesting animations. Was hoping for a Commander Bernhardt style campaign in the Total War series.
