Fallout 4 Opens, BUT Steam Library Stays Open
Each time when I open Fallout 4 from the Steam Library page, 50% of the time, Steam Library page stays open while Fallout 4 comes up in background. I have to stop (end) Fallout 4 in the Library page and try again to open Fallout 4. Most of the time the retry works--Fallout 4 is then in foreground, so I can play the game.

Why is this happened? Is there a solution? How do I create a Fallout 4 desktop short? Where is Fallout 4 executable located? Thanks in advance.

Can't you just switch to the game while it's running in background?

This happens to me sometimes with some games. Alt-tab. I don't know what causes it and it doesn't bother me enough to consider it a problem.

I never have the Steam window open when launching games. I always use desktop icons or the taskbar jump list.

I cannot move my mouse beyond the border of the Steam Library window.

I've never thought about using the alt-tab. I'll try it the next time I confront the problem. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have had this with Fallout 3 before.

I fixed it by changing the resolution to something else, as I was using my TV plugged into my laptop. I believe it was trying to run as default in some odd resolution
