Is it really expectable to have a game where the point seems to be to know out a girl alone in her house and rape her.

I don't think so.

Can someone from steam explain why this sort of thing is allowed?

Is it the adult-nature of the game that bothers you? Or is it the specific theme of what I assume is non-consensual sex by an invisible person?

If it's the adult nature of the game that's a concern, go into your account settings and uncheck "Adults Only Sexual Content". This will only block pornographic games, and M rated games with mere nudity or sexual content such as The Witcher will not be effected. This option is disabled by default. Maybe you enabled it by mistake, or you misunderstood what it meant. At least it's easy and simple to disable it again.

If it's the specific theme of non-consensual sex, well. I understand you may find that objectionable, but to each their own I say. You are free not to buy or play the game, and you can even select "ignore" so as to never see it again. The game exists firmly as a work of fiction, and the character is not a real human.

So... killing people, torturing them, going amok with a chainsaw, blowing up as many people as you can see with a rocket launcher, etc, etc.. all of that is perfectly acceptable in gaming, but when a virtual woman gets violated it becomes a major outrage?

Its allowed because the content is not illegal. Rape fantasies are one of the most popular fetishes in porn, for men AND women.
Does not mean that either want to do this in real life or be on the receiving end.
Just as the vast majority of people dont want to live out GTA in real life.

Its fictional content. You may dislike the content, you may think the topic used in the game is of "bade taste" but guess what, i think the same about many of the popular games on Steam.
That does not mean they should not be sold on the store but only that its not for me personally.

You should take the same approach.

Unfortunately there are some products that go beyond the pale. If you feel that a product is illegal, against Steam Policy, etc you can report it. To do so, go to the game's page and scroll down until you see "Share," "Embed," and a Flag symbol. Click the Flag, follow the instructions and Steam will investigate.

That game is beyond tame compared to a lot of games already on Steam.
No one can be taken seriously if they pick that game to start a crusade over.

The stuff that is already on Steam would make their head explode.

There is no filter for "rape games".

Its adult content. Its also a cartoon. Get over yourself..and fix your filters too.
