Everything has to be processed and this can take time - something that entitled consumers have no clue about it seems. Wallet credit ain't Monopoly money on the back end boy.
well if you sell something that doenst work you can get a refund. simple as that.
everything needs to be processed works fine the other way around doesnt it? they gladly take my money in a minute.... a refund is a whole different story.
funny that you call me a boy... that actually shows who the real boy is...
about them caring... why is there not a normal customer support?
If that's what you believe, then from where does your question come from? Because the answer is, "they don't care", no?
It's a funny human quirk to demand answer, but then reject answer that you don't like and substitute whatever confirmation bias is convenient.
Either way, you're gonna have to learn to be patient I guess.
But if you want to use it in the market, there is a cooldown in order to ensure your funds clear the ACH and as well as the potential for the funds to be fradulent via a hijacked account or via a stolen credit card or other means
If you mean refunds, refunds no matter where you do it, always take several days to clear the various ACH houses. Even if you
1) Buy something
2) immediately return it
3) try to buy something afterwards
The system will place holds on your account for the original purchase for a few days. As such your total spendable limit will be lower even though you did the 'return' already. This has nothing to do with steam and is how ACH works.
thanks for the answer
the only problem with this is.... where i live we use something called ideal... wich is a direct instant bank transfer. steam also uses this cause that is the way most people pay here.
this means there is no ACH.
It works pretty much the same as a credit card: while you see the money getting deducted from your account ASAP the reality is that the bank only reserved the monety for actual transfer later.
This is how all banks work, nothing is really instant.
thanks i honestly thought that ideal is direct.
Like they say, prevention > cure.
what do i need to research? i buy a game that my pc should easily run. can play any game on the highest settings. its not some small game company either it being Square Enix. somehow when i launch the game it doesnt start.
Every company will take time to refund a transaction. It's not automatic and someone needs to process it.
This is quite literally how every business work.
Because the phone queue would be 24+ hours long.

They deal with around 200 000 tickets per day. Steam is the largest digital game provider on the market.
Some banks process quicker some slower. In this situation Steam can't do something about it until banks confirm and completes the process
