How many hours played per week do you think is normal?
I'm going to guess like 10hrs per week but I'd be curious hear what others have to say

I'm on steam a lot and I do more than play. Regarding actual play, I tend to do bursts of 1 hour at a time during the week each day. Sometimes more. Weekends are when I can pour some real time into it. 5 hours in one sitting, grab my meal, finish playing, eat the meal. That kind of thing.

I usually average around 30-40 hours of playtime for 14 days on Steam, if i am really into a game it may go above 60 but there are also times where i dont have much interest in gaming and it stays around 10-15 or so.

I average between 1-2 hours a day but it depends as some days I have no time to play videogames and others I get up to 3 hours (not at one time, over the day)

***EDIT***

At the moment Steams lists me playing about 16.4 hours over 14 days. IMSHO average for me.

1-2 hours a day, but even this level kind of affects other activities. On the other hand, playing less than 1,5 hour is just like not playing at all... Sometimes I max to about 4-5 hours, however if I play like this for few days then at some point my demand drops almost to zero.

This is subjective. What is normal to one person may not be for another one.

So, 77.5 hours in the last 2 weeks is bad? Oops.

How much that it will not take over your life, but its there enough to enjoy it, to relax and get better without effecting badly on other things

Because it changes depending on case to case

Its not about the hours but the percentage of your free time. If you're a kid with the whole weekend free and and several hours at your free disposal each day, 10 hours isn't much.

But if you are a grown up who has a 9 to 5 job, a family and kids, 10 hours might mean you are slowly destroying your life.....

I think 3 hours a day is a healthy limit if you have a job, so 21 a week.

10hrs a week? i could do that in one day if the game is really good

Oh boy try going into the forum of any multiplayer game.

The game seems to be the center of their lives, every other game or life activity does not exist, it's just "THE game"
10hs is not and ok playtime per week, but the needed time to play per day.
And if you are not "consistent" with the latest trendy meta play style, then you are bad.
