How to stop the "Jester" farm?
I've begun to notice that more and more community tabs are being spammed with trolls and whiners trying to fish rewards out of people by behaving like entitled 10-year-olds. It's gotten to a point people have started to review-bomb games as a desperate attempt to get rewards out of it. It's ridiculous.

Simple, don't feed the troll.
Bigger problem, fix those that troll and those that reward trolling.

I don't, but a lot of people do... to the point it turns entire community pages into nothing but negative posts complaining about the dumbest of things. People who want to engage in conversation or are seeking help get flooded by these stupid farms.

Valve should really do something about the way Steam points work.

Steam is just software.
I think you're talking about the company Valve running Steam.

Clown farming is a type of spam so just report it as such and move on.

This one you joined isn't complaining to farm awards.

Give them other awards not Jesters.

The guy that comes here and admits he's wrong while fixing out his compromised account get's my jester award. Since they see the funny side of they're error.

The guy or lady that came out with that particular drawing of the jester must walk around Valve HQ with his or her chest puffed way out

We love clowns.
We must inflate the Market supply of clowns and demand more supply and demand !!

They might, they might not.

All you can do is ignore it if you don't have anything to do with it.

Of course if you see any of those reviews and such breaking the rules, you CAN report them.

Basically the bottom line is this - so what? If people want to do it. Let them.

ot your remit to say what's right and what's wrong. Valve WILL know about this so they'll decide if it's right or wrong.

Nah that's just lazy, dog.

Maybe make it so you can only receive one type of award per piece of content

That's daft too.

If someone likes your content, say a review because it really hits home, why shouldn't you get more of the same? It'd help others realise it's worth reading for a start.

It all has knock on effects.
