True. It wouldn't be the first incident unfortunately. Also, just looked on GOG when Jast USA mentioned releasing Dead End Aegis on their store. GOG doesn't have Dead End Aegis Gaiden. Lol. Ironically, Steam has it but Jast isn't rushing to release the main game on here. If you want the full package, gotta go to Jast USA's store. Store's a bit of a mess though. lol, I was editing my post to mention that JAST has their own store where they sell stuff (in direct-download DRM-free format), but if you prefer the Steam client over the GOG Galaxy client (which isn't even required since they also offer direct-download DRM-free files), then you might not be satisfied with it either.

That said, JAST does happen to be small enough of a thing that you can actually hang out on their Discord server (I'm on it), where you'll get notified of sales and where you can personally bug the staff to do things.

Jast's store is adequate when I want to just get some games or some patches. My main problem stems from a lack of review system which ended with me almost buying Moero Downhill Night Blaze (Seriously, DON'T.). Gotta do a bit of research if you want to risk your money on their older titles just to make sure it doesn't suck or is broken. I will admit that my irritation with their sparse amount of sales outside of major holidays on their own storefront likely stems from Steam sales spoiling me. Still, it wouldn't kill them to have just a few more frequent sales. Didn't know they had a discord though, I only knew about their Twitter page.

I like how Jast simply seems to call Valve out for what they're doing without explanation. It's a shame that Valve would do something like this by selectively banning games that would otherwise be popular sales for some people. I hope steam doesn't turn into something horrible with censoring and all that. I like this place and it would be a shame if they do this.

Everything would be easier if Valve just came out and told us, this is allowed, this not.
As it is, their judgement seems arbitrary and triggers these kind of situations where rumors, myths and hearsay flourish.

Which is something easily avoidable if they wanted to.

So don't expect anyone to give the benefit of the doubt in such situations.

There's also the issue that sometimes these sorts of arrangements get buried under non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). It's annoying, yes, though I guess some parties sometimes may be afraid of how the public may react to things. Doesn't make it any less annoying though.

Never in my life have I seen so much injustice with developers as Valve does on Steam, it makes me sad to see how arbitrary decisions decide whether or not to ban a game on Steam.

Full Metal Daemon Muramasa, Duel Princess, to mention some of the games that would be released on Steam, one of them friendly version.

When will the day be when Valve opens its eyes and stops thinking so westernly, why is 18+ games in the West a taboo subject, it seems that it is forbidden to talk about those games, it seems very bad to me that on the one hand it does allow games of violence, but on the other hand humiliates and tramples on the work of many small Japanese developers.

I have never seen clear decisions, only arbitrary and poorly justified decisions that continue to affect players and developers, on Twitter and Facebook, you can see how these developers express the fact that they cannot have a civilized conversation with Valve, always Valve turning their faces and looking towards other side.

I am tired of seeing how my favorite platform does not value and does not take the real time or determination to take fair actions, by denying games it is not taking into account the players or the developers, it seems that it is forgetting who the what made valve great.
