Steam Awards - Best & Worst Nominees

As we still await for the the winners of Steam Awards 2021, which games do you think are the best nominees or worst nominees? Remember: as always, the community nominated the said games, so which games do you think deserved the nomination or the nomination proved that the community has zero taste regarding quality and nominated just because?

Also, I am thinking of listing past awards, so we could think about how things changed since their awards and nominations.

CP77 definitely the worst. Also Forza Horizon 5 over Psychonauts 2 was bad in my opinion.

What's the big deal? It's not like the developers / gamers receive any meaningful $ from Valve? No one gives a flying fawk?

I have no clue how a mediocre game with 12k mostly positive reviews loses out to an overwhelmingly positive game that has 43k reviews. Looking at you Inscryption and Deathloop.

Labor of Love winner.

It should have been No Man Sky. It is not fair to pit this against a 10+ years game, $5 2D game. People just plainly didn't want to spend $30 on a game with heavy demand on gaming system. This is madness.

Right, so NMS got like one of the most biggest comebacks that most games out there couldn't do. It's labor of love. Terraria deserves it too, but damn, the game is like 10+ year old and 2D, it isn't fair.

Terraria is just better in every way, older, more things to do, lighter, way more players and much cheaper.

It is not necessary "better". I think that both games are best in their own right, like people just have different "taste" in games. It just isn't fair for NMS to lose the award.

yea I also voted NMS. even though I don't like any of the games on that list, it's pretty clearly the rightful winner. people just don't pay attention to what they are voting for. Terraria might be the best overall game on the list, but it's not deserving of the LOL award like NMS.

They actually had a lawsuit of some sort before that. But all this is just user voting (and dosent really mean anything in term how and why we voted as we did).
But like Aguker said Teraria was allready a "good" game when it launch and devs uppdated it along side with new expansion for it.

Yea the people just vote for what they like and love the most (if they happen to play it), they generally don't care what the prize is about and what other game's history is like. I mean, Terraria got like massive 700k+ rating over 10+ years, the real number should even be much much bigger because not everyone cares to vote up on a game that they play. Worst part is that most players grew up playing this game, so they definitely even want to show their love because of personal feeling. As for NMS, not many people out there is interested in a $30 game with bad launch, heavy gaming system demanding, not many even can afford a gig to play it smoothly; and most 10+ year old computer is still able to play Terraria, you could easily play that game at anywhere you go lol

I don't agree with the awards, I'm actually very much against them. I'd say they were payed for, especially with Battlefield 2042 as a candidate for "best game you suck at," but I won't be petty.
