Help with card

I've enterd my Debit card info onto the wallet page and once i enterd my security code it says you need to enter it again, now to be honest i do have a security code BUT Steam asks for a 3 digit code of the security code, mine? 4 digits and it dosent register, if i remove 1 digit it says "credit" along side that error declined by my card company, Yes i checked if it has what credit card logo on it and there's none, only one that i have relation to is RBC (Royal Bank of Canada). So do i

have, i told my dad for help and he says i can't. Because my card does not support any of the following such as Visa, Mastercard, etc. My card is only supported by RBC. and steam does not support RBC debits. so in summary, I can't add my debit card to my wallet since it does not support RBC and that my card does not support Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc. idk about paypal i'll have to look.

All security codes on the back of the cards are only 3 digits. It is not asking you for a pin number.

Or tie your card to PayPal, and purchase through PayPal. Problem solved.

Long story short, your RBC Debit Card is not part of the Visa/Mastercard network and is purely a bankcard.
When people talk about using debit cards on steam, they're talking about cards that are technically visa/mastercards which directly debit their account instead of extending a line of credit.
Your RBC card is not one of those. You cannot use it on steam. Use paypal/pre-paid steam wallet codes.

If it ain't supported by VISA, Mastercard and the rest then that's why it ain't 3 digits. Becauseyou can't use it. Your dad already explained it.

As Daggoth says above, when people talk of debit cards on stema they are bank=backed or VISA appointed or similar. In other words, it will have the logos EMBLAZONED front and centre on the card. If it ain't there, you can't use it.

Your only course of actions left are to first check to see if you can use it on Paypal, or try to find a manual pre-paid debit card you can use instead.
