falsely reported for scam by one of my friends from someone on a level 13 account that took my name and same profile pic and linked my account in their bio

i sent a message to steam support saying i didnt scam them should i just wait for them to respond or not worry about it

its a common scam... report the account block the account... and move on...

steam support will probably tell you the same..

my friend they traded the supposedly scammer profile 600dollars for a csgo skin and reported my profile and somehow didnt copy the scammers profile link i dont think anything will happen to my account

They are trying to scam you. Ignore their threats. Report them for attempting to scam you and then block them.

Your "friend" is a scammer using your real friend's account to scare you into thinking that there will be problems for you.

Report your 'friend's account, and any others that this person suggest you go to. They are ALL the scammer.

Also, of course it's a fake image. That's how they scare people.

They're trying to get you to talk to a fake admin (which is also them) and scare you into sending them money and such, usually through buying them steam wallet codes.

You have nothing to worry about.

If it's not an edited screenshot, it's someone making a profile to look like yours. Your name and picture can be used by others on different accounts. Steam doesn't enforce strict rules in that regard. Even so, your account is unique so Steam can see that while someone else's account may look exactly yours, it is still not you or your account.

They use slightly different doctored screenshots but the end result is still the same. They are not you nor are they referencing you. It's all scare tactics.

Yes. This is also a common technique and I'm sure they've developed tools to make inserting any profile pretty trivial. One of the things that works in their favor is the important parts of the profile are pretty universal and it's really as simple as taking a screen shot and swapping a layer out.
