Other than that. off the top of my head, they filter curse words, which I'm pretty sure you can turn off in settings, racial slurs and scam sites. It's a pretty reasonable system.
You’re enraged by measures taken to limit the ability for a con artist to pose as an authority?
So you know like if you want support use the giant sticky like the subreddit tells you to
Like you SAW the pinned post about support... and then decided "well you know lets just ignore the pinned post and make a totally new one"? because.......... why?
Maybe follow the rules instead of treating everything like your personal social media dumpster.
Because that's what links do?
Anyone can add links to websites and pages if they like. I could make a 3rd party trading website for Steam and in a help/FAQ section if there was something wrong with trading or an account issue that they need help with something I could redirect them to help forums here, support, or support pages on what could be the problem along with anything else.
The Steam Reddit is a good resource, yes but it's not technically the right place for help if looking for specific help relating to an account issue, there are times that globals and even Valve employees answer there tho.
Because people who are not able to read the rules keep spamming the sub with support requests. and a large part of them can only be answered by Steam support...
The exact same applies to the Steam forums.
That's why you cannot name yourself Support - because people will believe you are in some way an official support system member and trust you. That trust is rarely warranted, if someone's going to name themselves that way.
