Any sort of script for mass deleting comment history?

Had this account too long, comments dating back to 2016 that I would rather delete, unfortunately it will take hours upon hours to delete every single page.

I'm completely convinced I cannot delete all my stuff, I know that by pressing delete I am not even deleting it permanently. I'd just like to do the best swoop I can.

Why would you want to mutilate the discussion threads that you have participated in? Then, when someone finds one of those threads when they do a search for their issue, that thread would be less useful and maybe even confusing because of your missing posts.

Is someone harassing you about old posts that you made? If so, wouldn't it be better to report the harassment than to try to erase your past?

Erasing your past comments will break things. There is no reason to ever do so.

If you are an EU citizen, you can even try to invoke GDPR as a last resort. Hopefully, that won't be necessary.

Unfortunately being an EU citizen doesn't mean you get to demand that companies bow to your will.

This is incorrect, the GPDR is data protection legislation. What you are thinking of is the "right to be forgotten", which is completely different. A legal case can be made to invoke this, but it is a terrible thing to do, often only used to disguise one's own bad activities.

If there is specific sensitive context related to PII, that is much easier to remove and justified.

Note that attempting to delete your own presence is functionally impossible, even if you invoke this type of thing as that is not how the internet works.

Unlike within EU jurisdiction In the GPDR it's unreliably restricted, largely to reflect the impossibility this loophole exists right at the beginning.:
"without undue delay where one of the following grounds applies:

(a) the personal data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed;
(b) the data subject withdraws consent on which the processing is based according to point (a) of Article 6(1), or point (a) of Article 9(2), and where there is no other legal ground for the processing;"

It may not seem like it, but the boilerplate consent to allow normal use of your data for a given service will allow both both above cases where not proven in court otherwise. e.g. You'll need a lawyer to get it done and they still may ignore the request on the grounds your data in this case is part of the service offering and consent was granted unconditionally.

This excuse would not hold up in the face of an actual lawsuit, but it is more than enough to deter honest people. While allowing dishonest people to exploit it at some cost.

Aside from that I did not get the impression you were saying it was bad idea, but we're on the same page.
