Purchasing games that were previously on the Steam store?
There's this game that I have been trying to find on the Steam store that I recently found was removed, which was the PC version of "Tintin and the Secret of the Unicorn". Is it possible for me to request to be put back on the store or is it just gone forever? Thanks.

I wish people would stop giving this kind of rubbish advice.

Thing is, if a game is taken off the market, it disappears form all legitimate stores.

This isn't always the case. World War 1 Centennial Edition was removed from Steam ages (like 7+ years) ago but Steam keys for it are still being sold in number of legitimate outlets.

It will probably continue being sold until the stores run out of keys as no new keys can be issued and I believe developer has gone bust. It's not the only one I've seen either.

if you can find a steam activation key, you may be able to add the game to your library. make sure you only use legit sites. i

That doesn't mean legitimate keys don't still exist out in the wild. But once they are gone they are gone so they tend to get more expensive as time goes on.
Okay, yes. legitimate keys may still exist. But you're not able to get them from any legit site unless you personally bought the game from that site and never claimed your key.

The rubbish isn't about keys still existing. The rubbish is the idea that you can get one of those keys from any legitimate source. Your only source for the keys would be illegitimate key resellers which are dangerous and unreliable, or if you just happen to know someone who has an unredeemed key. You're right about them getting more expensive as time goes on, but they get more expensive in shady illegitimate key reselling sites.

One site I won't mention sells cheap asset flip porn games in bundles and many of those games were removed from the store...
Yeah should point out that depending on the 'why' even old keys may not work. as in If the developer/publisher violated the STeam terms of agreement, if there was a copytright dispute, etc. Then even pret removal keys may not work because Valve woyuld be under no onus to honor their end of the contract with the publisher.

OP: that game was also sold on Xbox. If you have an Xbox and live in America, there's still a single copy available on Amazon.
I don't unfortunately for both, but thanks for the contribution!

If anywhere doesn't exist so just search in google for free download . . .
Not being sold doesn't mean you can just pirate the game.

1st off, you can buy games that are no longer on Steam from sites like G 2 A, that's how I got Prey, you can also get Dark Souls original and all that kinda stuff there too, it's not as shady as people keep saying, it's just unethical or whatever, lol.

2nd, this does not work for Ubisoft games, keys sold that are Ubisoft games are used on Ubisoft Connect or Uplay, so even if you buy Tintin from that site, which you can, you won't get it for Steam, sorry.

:spazdunno: Seems you’re attempting a distinction without a difference.
I bought an activation key for Mortal Kombat 9, Transformers War for Cybertron, and Transformers Fall of Cybertron. They were then added to my Steam library.
